Tien is a dedicated chef at Day'li Cafe & Restaurant at Zazz Urban HCMC, with a family background in cooking that spans generations. Growing up, Tien learned invaluable lessons in the kitchen from his mother and grandmother, who both worked as cooks. His passion for cooking was ignited at a young age, and he decided to continue the family tradition.
Tien began accumulating experience and skills working at a coffee shop in HCMC during high school. In 2019, he started studying Hotel - Restaurant Management at Saigon Tourism College, where he honed his cooking and bartending skills through specialized courses. In 2021, Tien joined Daily'Cafe & Restaurant as a kitchen assistant, eventually working his way up to the position of chef.
At the restaurant, Tien focuses on Chinese cuisine, as the majority of the clientele is Chinese. He also works as a bartender on certain days. His main goal is to delight diners with delicious food and provide an exceptional dining experience.
Tien's culinary expertise is rooted in Vietnamese cuisine, particularly the dishes of the Mekong Delta region. His experience at the Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant has helped him expand his understanding of Chinese cuisine and its diverse techniques. Tien is always eager to learn from others, including his former chef who specialized in Chinese cuisine, and he values customer feedback to perfect his dishes.
Outside of cooking, Tien enjoys practicing martial arts, flower arranging, and singing. He believes that these activities help him find balance and sophistication, which he brings to his culinary creations.

A graduate of Saigon Tourism College, Tien has developed expertise in both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines. As a chef, Tien’s primary goal is to delight diners and provide an exceptional dining experience. In his free time, Tien practices martial arts, arranges flowers, and sings, believing these activities bring balance and sophistication to his culinary creations.
